Jute fiber is a natural textile material obtained from the jute plant. Jute (also known as burlap or hessian) comes from the bark of a tropical plant (Corchorus genus), mainly grown in India and Bangladesh. These coarse, golden brown fibers are spun into yarn with a distinctly rough texture. Due to the fact that jute cultivation requires relatively little water and pesticides, and the material is completely biodegradable, jute is ranked among the most environmentally friendly textile materials.

Interestingly, jute plants are able to absorb carbon dioxide several times more intensively than trees during growth, making jute fabric a sustainable choice for anyone who cares about nature.

Jute fiber is distinguished by its high durability. It is able to bear heavy loads and last for years, because the natural polymer lignin contained in jute fibers gives it special resistance to sunlight and moisture. Even with intensive use, high-quality jute products remain undamaged for a long time.

The coarse weave and natural fibers ensure that jute products are air-permeable, "breathable" - they do not accumulate moisture, do not mold and do not electrify.
